Prairie Girl

Wedding season is upon us, clearly. But, on occasion, I get the opportunity to attend and fully enjoy the festivities as a guest, and not a planner!

Held at the groom’s parent’s acreage just outside of Saskatoon, and the reception at Marquis Hall at the University of Saskatchewan (naturally, as it was where the newly weds had met a year earlier!).

Upon driving out of town to the ceremony, I couldn’t help but shriek at the gorgeous canola fields we continued to pass along the way. I made note of several spots for a quick photo op on the way back 🙂

As a born and raised prairie girl, I still can not get enough of the rustic beauty this province has to offer. In particularly, the canola and flax fields in bloom. Stunning.

But enough on weddings, parties or planning. I’m currently jet setting my way across the country to join up with my two cousins and big sister to celebrate Osheaga. A music festival based on Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal! Stay tuned for the adventures that I’m sure will follow.
