#100happydays – Day Twenty-Three

Tonight my girlfriends and I attended the 3rd annual Pink Wig Gala for the Pink Wig Foundation in honour of Tracy Dinh. She was a wonderful girl with whom I went to high school with, and was unfortunately diagnosed at the age of 25 with a rare cervical cancer. Although she is not present anymore, I do not believe that she lost a battle. Cancer sucks, we all know this. But, I believe it’s important to not let Cancer have the power or the privilege to beat us in a battle. We simply have lost some in the hope of finding a cure on their behalf.

It’s a great evening that supports cancer research, and at the same time, gives us the ability to dress up, and enjoy each other’s company – just how Tracy would have wanted it.
